How to Never Have a Money Problem Again.

Early in my marriage Kim and I would constantly struggle with money issues. It wasn’t because we weren’t Christians or didn’t have jobs. What we didn’t have was a plan! So, over many years of trial and error we came up with a plan that worked for both of us and to be honest we have never had a money problem since.

In this article, I’m sharing the exact plan that has worked for us for over 25 years. You may have to think through its parts, and it may even take you 18 months to fully put into practice, but I assure you it will work for anyone.

Here’s the plan.

1. Do work you are good at.

You don’t have to work a job you love to have a great income, but you do need to do work you are very good at. Don’t confuse your passion or hobbies with your income, that doesn’t mean you cannot work a job you love and get paid for it. You just have to find it.

So how do you find work you are good at?

· First “know thy self,” as Socrates said.

· Take the Core Motivations quiz and get the book, I Am Enough.

In the book it will show you 9 careers that you could be very good at. Then in the back of the book, it shows you how to go about finding the job.

· Remember a job or income is only a “horse to ride” to get you the income for the things that really matter most to you.

Question: Are you really good at the work you do?

2. Create a life-giving budget.

A life-giving budget can be your best asset in life. Make your budget your friend, and it will take good care of you.

Here is how to set it up so that it’s life-giving:

· 10% goes to God. More on that a little later.

· 5% goes to investments that you will never spend. You only get to spend the income from it. You give the investments away at the end of your life.

· 15% goes to your emergency fund (six months of your monthly expenses)

· 5% goes to spiritual investments. Be generous. Kingdom Builders.

· 5% goes to having fun. Your soul needs to party occasionally.

· 60% goes to monthly living expenses.

Make sure it only takes you 12-18 months to get here. You can do this.

Question: Do you have a budget?

3. Get under God’s anointing.

Tithing is 3 Parts.

1. Tithing is an act of worship. God owns everything. “The Earth and the fullness belong to the Lord and all its inhabitants.” Psalms 24:1 Do you live on planet earth? Tithing is returning, not giving. Your tithe represents a unit of your life.

2. Tithing brings blessings.

“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! Malachi 3:10. This means that opportunities will find you.

3. Tithing brings Protection. How would you like to get the best-paying opportunities and see things last longer than usual?

“Your crops will be abundant, for I will guard them from insects and disease. Your grapes will not fall from the vine before they are ripe,” says the LORD of Heaven’s Armies.” Malachi 3:11.

This is even more important for the next point.

Question: How long have you been tithing?

4. Invest in the Kingdom.

Take 5% of your income and sow it into God’s Kingdom. Like, Overland Missions and other work that causes others to come to Christ as Savior.

“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop.

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.”

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need, and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians 9: 6, 7, 8

Question: Where do you so seed into the Kingdom?

5. Start your mastermind group.

· Pastor

· Banker

· Accountant

· Lawyer

· A no-BS friend

2. Banker_______________________________________
